Through Bree Tanner we see and feel a life or should I say second life of a “newborn” vampire. Only three months into her second life the story starts out during feeding time. Bree shows us what we only imagined, the hunt. How the hungry burn is impossible to ignore. How they pick their targets, or prey. How they can see the blood running through human bodies. The last moments of their prey’s life. How it tastes and feels and what they do with the bodies.
During this night out, Bree interacted with another vampire, Diego. This is not normal for vampires. Usually they are always looking at the others because they tend to rip each other to shreds. She felt at ease with Diego and started to have feelings for him. And he had feelings for her right back, though neither will admit it.
When the sun comes up Bree and the other vampires hid out in the basement of houses because they think they will burst into flames in the sunlight. We already know that vampires can be in the sun and Bree and Diego quickly find that out. So why the big lie? The leader of the coven has another agenda. In cahoots with the evil red-head Victoria, they plan to kill the Cullens and Bella. The leader, Riley, tells so many lies to his coven, but Bree knows differently. What is in store for Bella and the Cullen family?
