“Stuck in the Middle” by Virginia Smith

In Danville, Kentucky, three generations of women share a house. Joan Sanderson and her three daughters stayed in the house to help with Gram after Grandpa died. Since Joan hadn’t been out on a date in 9 years, the house stirred when the house next door was rented by a man.

Ken Fletcher is a single doctor and Joan met him when she was out for her daily run and was knocked down by Ken’s dog, Trigger. They hit it off right away, but Joan sees her sister, Tori, flirting with Ken and he right back. This made Joan jealous, thinking Ken liked Tori and not her. Who would want her anyway? She’s tall and dark and Tori is small and blonde. Both girls pull out all the stops to win Ken’s affections. However, this turns him off.

The girls invited Ken to church because he was looking for a church to attend in this new city. Ken didn’t like it much because it was very traditional and he was used to modern. Tori, thinking he’s some kind of religious fanatic decides that she doesn’t want him anymore.

Will Ken chose Joan, Allie or neither? Read the book to find out!
