“Song of the Brokenhearted” by Sheila Walsh

w/ Cindy Martinusen Coloma

Ava spends most of her time volunteering for Broken Hearts, a non-profit organization through her church that helps families in crisis (e.g. a death). While her life is breaking down, Ava begins to wonder why she cannot help her family like she does with other families. She knows she put a brick wall around her heart and shields her family from the horrible childhood she went through. Ave becomes worried that her past is catching up with her. One day, the doorbell rings and changes Ava’s life forever.
